Taxidermy Net

Taxidermy procedures began when God prepared animal skins to clothe Adam and Eve. Egyptians made advances through mummification of cats, dogs, raptors and people. Noah was chosen by God to become the first wildlife preservation specialist. He preserved two of every non-aquatic animals of the time. AARRKK Taxidermy continues these noble beginnings by striving to make each mount more lifelike than the ones before. AARRKK Taxidermy welcomes the opportunity to preserve the rewards of a day in fields, forests or waterways. You'll be pleased with the results!

Since 1968 AARRKK Taxidermy has developed the skills to meet your wildlife preservation needs. In addition to gracing the homes of avid fishers, work is also in the collections of and exhibited in museums across the nation, including the Alaska State Museum, the California Academy of Sciences, the Denver Museum of Natural History, and Elachee Nature Center.

We're often asked by clients if their 'trophy' is large enough to be mounted. Size is only one factor in deciding to have a 'trophy' mounted. Often the specimen is a first: the first success in the field or on the water. Sometimes the 'trophy' represents a special event such as that long awaited fishing trip of a lifetime to Alaska. For others, the event was a special trip with dad, son, grandpa or something similar.

Fish mounts are available as 'traditional' skin mounts, custom molded/cast fiberglass replicas of your fish, or a replica of a Catch and Release trophy. With 40 years experience as an airbrush artist and the use of the most modern colors and media available, fish coloration is of such a high quality, you'd expect to see the fish floppin' around. Fish mounts can be presented on panels, driftwood, or other media of choice.

AARRKK Taxidermy officially opened its doors in May 2004 and is licensed by the State of Georgia.
